William "Bill" Freeland Johnson, Jr.

William Freeland “Bill” Johnson, Jr., 60​, passed away Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at the University of MS Medical Center ​ in Jackson.  Family graveside services are 11 A.M. Saturday, August 10, at Odd Fellows cemetery.​

Bill was born in Greenwood to Dr. and Mrs. William Freeland  Johnson Sr., He grew up in Greenwood and graduated from Pillow Academy.  He was an Eagle Scout and a member of First Presbyterian Church.  Bill resided the last few years in Flora where he worked in retail sales.  He is preceded in death by his father.

He is survived by his mother, Opal Weir Johnson of Greenwood, a brother; Don   ​ Weir  Johnson and his wife Lisa ​Wells Johnson, both of ​Flower Mound, TX, a niece; Emma Johnson, two nephews William Johnson and Bryan Johnson and numerous cousins.
