William A. McCrory, 59, passed away Sunday, March 1, 2026, at Oak Grove Retirement Center in Duncan, MS. Funeral services are 2 P.M. Thursday, March 5th with Pastor Alvin Woods officiating. Visitation is from 1-2 P.M. prior to the service.
William was born in Greenwood to Harold and Edna McCrory and graduated from Greenwood High School. He was an avid bowler, he loved football, baseball, and NASCAR. He was a Saints and Chiefs fan. William was a longtime Greenwood resident prior to moving to the retirement center after his parents’ death.
William is preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Tim McCrory, Tommy McCrory and Billy McCrory. He is survived by his sisters, Carollyn Harris (Jimmy) of Greenwood, Mary Childs of Orlando, FL, and two brothers, Stoney McCrory of North Carrollton and Roger McCrory of Benton, MS.
Memorial may be made to St. Jude Children’s research hospital in Memphis.
Pallbearers will be Arvid Woodard, Brian Wiltshire, Dustin McCrory, Roger McCrory, Stony McCrory, and Victor Verderajme.
