Ted MacIntosh

Ted MacIntosh, 67, of Greenwood, MS went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at Greenwood Leflore Hospital. Funeral services are 11 A.M. Friday, January 16th at Greenwood Delta Funeral Home with Dr. Andrew Chaney officiating.  Interment is in Evergreen Cemetery.  Visitation is from 9-11 A.M. Friday prior to the service

Ted was born on July 23, 1958, at Greenwood Leflore Hospital, in Greenwood, MS to Oliver and Evelyn Crawley MacIntosh and was a lifelong resident.  He graduated from Greenwood High School in 1976 and graduated from Delta State University with a degree in accounting.

  Ted, or “T-Mac” to some, was an active member of First Presbyterian Church, where he enjoyed singing in the church choir, and especially enjoyed performing with the annual singing Christmas tree. He was actively involved in the Greenwood Chorale as well as the Greenwood Little Theatre.  In his spare time, he enjoyed working on classic cars, and also enjoyed reading.     

He was not only interested in, but also knowledgeable of cars and the car culture. His 1968 Chevrolet Chevelle SS was his favorite.  He began work with Kent Hull Pontiac then Delta Chevrolet which became Cannon motors, as the parts manager with over 40 years of dedicated service. 

 Ted had a generous big heart, was kind, considerate, quiet, and had an unwavering devotion to his family.  He enjoyed life, was very thoughtful, tender-hearted, friendly, fun to be around, funny, and had an amazing personality.  He never met a stranger and had a great love for everyone he met.   With his uplifting spirit and his love for his hometown of Greenwood, his legacy will continue and he will be greatly missed by all. 

Ted had a passion for music and posted a “song of the day” on his facebook page, which his family and friends looked forward to hearing.  While hard to narrow down, the Beach Boys and Moody Blues were among his favorite artists.

Ted’s favorite of all productions at the Greenwood Little Theatre was “The Buddy Holly Story”.  Ted so desired for the “The Buddy Holly Story” production to be shown again because it was such a great success. 

Ted is preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Kimberly MacIntosh.  He is survived by his son, Scott MacIntosh of Greenwood; a sister, Kay MacIntosh Daves (James) of Greenwood, a cousin, Debbie Crawley of Bartlett, TN, and the mother of his children, Freda Mysinger of Carrollton, TX. 

Pallbearers will be Scott MacIntosh, Jimmy Kitchell, James Daves, Ben Myers, Larry Myers, Ronnie Rozier, Paul Barrentine, and Robin Henry.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Greenwood Little Theater or the charity of donor’s choice.
