Ross Taylor

Sidney Ross Taylor Sr, 76, passed away Monday, October 16, 2023, at his home in Carroll County.  Funeral services are 11 A.M. Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at Mt Pisgah Baptist Church with Rev. Lanny Haley officiating.  Visitation is from 10-11 prior to the service at the church.

Ross was born in Greenwood to Sidney B and Sarah Smith Taylor graduated from Greenwood High School and went to MS Delta Community College on a football scholarship.  After college he went to work for South Central Bell retiring in 1995.  After retirement he took over ownership of Patmar Computers which he operated until his health began to fail.  He was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist church, enjoyed hunting and gardening.

Ross was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, June Mims.  He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Sandra White Taylor; two sons, Sid Taylor of Holly Springs, MS, Sean Taylor (Kathryn) of Apex, NC; a daughter, Erica Fisk (Ricky) of Teoc; one brother, Ray Taylor (Sheila) of Teoc; and six grandchildren, Olivia Taylor of Teoc, Hunter Fisk of Teoc, Zoey Wasco of California, Rory Taylor, Tristan Taylor and Ella Taylor all of Apex, NC.

Memorials may be made to Mt Pisgah Baptist Church, St. Jude Children’s research hospital or the charity of donor’s choice.
