Ronnie Rozier, 69, passed away suddenly Friday, March 13, 2026, in Greenwood. Funeral services are 2 P.M. Tuesday, March 17, at North Greenwood Baptist Church with interment in Evergreen Cemetery in North Carrollton. Rev. Ed McDaniel and Dr. Jim Phillips will officiate. Visitation is from noon till 1:45 in the church worship center prior to services Tuesday.
Ronnie was born in Cleveland to Roy and Elinor Rozier and moved with his family to Greenwood at an early age. He graduated from Greenwood High School in 1974, and he and his father began Southern Garage Doors. In 1990 he began working with his brother, Mike, at Rozier Construction as a project manager and remained there for 35 years.
Ronnie was a faithful member of North Greenwood Baptist Church where he was actively involved in Men’s Ministry, where he was known as the “best biscuit maker”. He was also a Deacon and a substitute Sunday School teacher. He conducted weekly devotionals for the crew at Rozier construction and served on the mission field in Guatemala and Zimbabwe.
He is preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Erin Chaise Rozier. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Renee Lennard Rozier; his daughter, Claire Shepherd (Tyler) of Columbus; two sons, Ronnie Rozier, II of Greenwood, Matthew Rozier (Heather) of Grenada; eight grandchildren, Jackson Baylor Rozier, Williams Brewer Rozier, Rileigh Brogan, Silas Stapleton, Mattie Brooke Rozier, Preston Layne Shepherd, Logan Reese Shepherd, Carter James Shepherd; a brother, Mike Rozier (Angelia) of McCarley; three sisters, Barbara Jean Williams (Cris) of Madison, Janice Lynn Zellar (Jeff) of Winona, Pam Burns (Howard) of Carrollton; sister-in-law, Sheila Sanders (Ronnie) of Greenwood and his mother-in-law, Peggy Lennard of Greenwood.
Pallbearers will be Steve Hand, Andy Holliday, Andy Johnson, Ronnie Moss, Ricky Grey, Michael Maloney, Rickey Pullen and Mitch King. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Men’s Ministry, N.G.B.C. Deacons, and employees of Rozier Construction.
Memorials May be Made to God’s House of Hope and Leflore Christian School.
