Robert D. Box

Robert Box, 73, passed away Sunday, June 16, 2024 at his home in Greenwood.  Funeral services are 10 A.M. Wednesday, June 19, at Greenwood Delta Funeral Home with Rev. Sam Brassell officiating.  Interment will be in the MS Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Kilmichael.  Visitation is from 9-10 prior to the service.

Robert was born to James David and Irene Dulin Box in Clarksdale and moved to Greenwood at an early age.  He graduated from Greenwood High School and received his BS degree from the University of Southern Mississippi.  He worked for many years at Supreme Electronics as an electrical engineer. Robert was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.  He enjoyed computer programming and spending time with his family.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Daniel J. Box. He is survived by his son, Bobby Box (Barbara) of Greenwood;  brother, Thomas Box (Susie) of Nashville, TN; two sisters, Carroll Ann Adams of Madison, Nancy Jeffords of Florida and a grandson, Drew Box of Greenwood.

Pallbearers are Leighton Box, Bill Gardner, Steve McCrimmon and Jason Box.

Memorials may be made to the Immanuel Baptist Church family life resource center.
