Reese Gilliland

Itta Bena, MS:  Reese Gilliland, 67 passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2024, in Greenwood.  Funeral services are 11 A.M. Saturday, January 20 at Greenwood Delta Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Turner officiating.  Visitation is from 9-11 A.M. Saturday prior to the service.

Reese was born in Greenwood to Ed and Dinkie Gilliland, grew up in the half mile community and graduated from Pillow Academy.  He had farming interests his whole life , was a avid outdoorsman and loved to hunt and fish.

He is survived by his two sons, Tyler Gilliland (Maggie) of Greenwood; Drew Gilliland (Jennifer Feduccia) of Cleveland; a sister Gail Fondren of Greenwood; his brother Eddie Gilliland of Carrollton;  his grandchildren, Emma Gilliland and Grant Gilliland of Greenwood, Ledger Feduccia, Swayzie Feduccia, Knox Feduccia and Hailey Sappington all of Cleveland and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be David Fondren, Hugh Gilliland, Steve Scott, Mark Raby, Tim Vail, Russell Brunson, Cliff Thach and Cannon Burgess.
