Rebecca Gorman Bishop

Rebecca G. Bishop, 56, passed Thursday June 22, 2023, at her home near Holcomb. A homegoing Services is 11 A.M Tuesday, June 27, 2023, at Leflore Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery.  Rev. Miles Raney, Rev. Blake Henson and Rev. Nathan Gorman will officiate. Visitation is from 5:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M.  Monday and from 9-11 Tuesday at Leflore Baptist Church.

Rebecca was born in Greenwood to Nathan Wayne and Joyce Taylor Gorman.  She graduated Grenada High School, worked for the Grenada School System and the Grocery Basket in Grenada.  She was a longtime resided of the Leflore community and was a member of Leflore Baptist Church.  He enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry Wayne Bishop, 3 daughters, Misty Morgan Winters (Dewayne) of Tillatobia, Heather Raney of Grenada, Taylor Hill (Jonathan) of Scobie; 2 sons, Michael Charles Morgan, Jr, of Charleston, Rev. Miles Raney (Erica) of Grenada; 2 sisters, Janet Moore (Jerome) of Jackson, Stacy Henson (Danny) of Holcomb; a brother, Rev. Nathan Gorman, Jr. (Beckie) of Paragould, AR; 8 grandchildren, Dakoyta Winters (Daraka), Syerra Winters, Natalie Hill, Laynie-Claire Hill, Chase Hill, Presley Morgan, Alayna Morgan, Charla-Jean Raney and one great Grandchild, Ximena Winter.

Pallbearers will be Anthony Henson, Drew Henson, Casey Bailey, Marcus Thomas and Jerry Bishop Jr, Brandon Bailey. Chase Hill, and Presley Morgan are honorary pallbearers.

Memorials may be made to Leflore Baptist Church.
