Peggy Ann (Boyles) Williamson

Peggy Ann Boyles Williamson, 81, passed away Saturday, September 28, 2024, at Country Meadow personal care home in Greenwood.  Funeral services are 11 A.M. Wednesday, October 2, at Greenwood Delta Funeral Home with interment in Harmony Baptist Church cemetery.  Rev. Randy Williamson will officiate.  Visitation is from 10 A.M.-11 A.M. Wednesday prior to the service.

Peggy was born in Winona, MS to Homer Lee and Mary Florence Ellis Boyles.  She began her career as a legal secretary while still in high school and worked for several law firms during her career.  She later worked for Production Credit Association, USF&G, and finally the Leflore Chancery Clerk’s office until her retirement in 2007.  She was a member of New Hope Church.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Homer Lee Boyles, Jr.  She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Charles E. Williamson; a daughter Charlotte Anderson (Mike) of Lancaster, PA; two brothers, Ricky D. Boyles (Michelle) of Indianola, MS, Herbert Lee Boyles (Dee) of Preston, MS and a sister-in-law, Belinda Williamson Switzer (Jimmy) of Hattiesburg.

Pallbearers will be Billy Stubbs, Lee Boyles, Keith Connor, Danny Cox, Jimmy Switzer and Brent Noah.  Honorary pallbearers are Jeremy Boyles and Ricky Mitchell

The family wishes to offer a special "Thank You" to Rebecca and Danny Edwards and all of the staff at Country Meadow for the loving care given to Mrs. Williamson.
