Patsy Ruth (Stephens) Sanderock

Patsy Ruth Sanderock, 94, passed away Monday evening, May 2, 2022, at the North MS Medical Center in Tupelo. Funeral Mass will be at 12 noon on Tuesday, May 10, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church with Fr. Jose de Jesus Sanchez officiating. Interment will immediately follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery. Visitation is from 11 am to 12 noon prior to the service.

Patsy was born in Mooresville, Indiana on April 9, 1928 to Frank and Dorval Stephens.  She grew up in the Midwest and moved to Greenwood from St. Louis in 1961. She worked for many years in child day care prior to opening her own day care, The Kiddie Korral.  Later she worked as office manager for Dr. Michael Person Dental Services before finally retiring. She was an active parishioner at Immaculate Heart of Mary for almost 60 years.

Patsy is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Eugene J. Sanderock, her brother, Tom Stephens, and a son, Kenneth E. Sanderock.  She is survived by two daughters, Barbara Ann Gibson of Las Vegas, NV, Deborah Jean Costinett (Bill) of St. Francisville, LA; a son, Michael Stephen Sanderock (Katherine) of Oxford, MS; a daughter-in-law, Karen Skwarczynski of Columbus, MS; a brother, Kenneth Stephens (Fran) of St. Louis Park, MN, 12 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren one on the way and 4 neices.

Pallbearers will be Michael Sanderock, Jonathan Sanderock, Jayde Sanderock, Bill Costinett, Dr. Donald Rossetti and Dr Ronald Rossetti.

Memorials may be made to the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church.
