Patricia Ann Martin

Patricia Ann Martin, 72, was reunited with her husband, Billy in heaven, June 2, 2025.  She was a resident of Walter B. Crook Nursing Home in Ruleville.  Graveside services are 2:30 P.M. Thursday, June 5 at McNutt Cemetery in Schlater.  Visitation is from 1-2 P.M. at Greenwood Delta Funeral Home in Greenwood.

Patricia was born to Henry and Elizabeth Rosa in Texas and moved to Greenwood in the 1970s.   She was a member of Walton Chapel Church of God in Minter City.  She enjoyed gardening, spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.  She also enjoyed canning and cooking for friends and family.  All family gatherings were always at her home because of hospitality.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Billy Martin, a daughter, Thresa Martin, a grandson, William Martin a three brothers, Larry Rosa, Michael Rosa and Leo Rosa. 

She is survived by a daughter Deanna Rickels (James)  of Greenwood; two sons, Jerry Martin of Greenwood, William Martin (Sherry) of Schlater; two brothers, Henry Rosa of Minter City, Johnny Rosa of Blackhawk; five sisters, Shirley Ann Little of Carrollton, Dianne Rosa of Carrollton, Libby Ann Woodard of Blackhawk, Mary Ann Goodnight of Greenwood, Stacy Ann Portillo of Texas;12 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be James Rickels, Josh Wiggins, Robert Pridgen, Patrick Parkinson, Hayden Brown, Henry Pratt, Henry Phillips, and Billy Paul Hollingsworth.  Honorary pallbearers are Landon Liddell, Hayden Burchfield, Hunter Richardson, Hunter Davis and Dillon Jaco.

The family wishes to offer a special word of thanks to the nurses and staff of Walter B. Crook Nursing Home in Ruleville and her granddaughter, Amie Burchfield who was by her side through her final hours.
