Sunday morning June 16, 2024, a beautiful soul Mary Goss, 81 went home to be with our Lord and Savior. Mary was born September 18, 1942, to Ezra and Annie Belle Smith. Mary dearly loved her Lord and Savior spending hours at a time in God’s Word.
She met the love of her life Clifton (Cliff) Goss at a Dairy Queen in Jackson, MS in 1959, married him in 1960, and became a wonderful mother to three children, Steve, Michael and Wanda who she doted on while Clifton supported his little family. After the children where grown she pursued her dream of owning a clothing store as well as being co-owner of Goss Refinishing. Mary also enjoyed being Mamaw to 8 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.
Mary is predeceased by her parents, her husband Clifton, two sisters, Linda Puckett and Shirley Mays as well as two brothers Larry and Roger Smith. She is survived by her children Steve (Toni) Goss of Florence, MS, Michael (Diane) Goss and Wanda Goss of Greenwood Mary is also survived by her grandchildren a host of nieces and nephews, a sister Betty (Marshal) McKinley of Star, MS, a brother Mitchell Smith of Puckett, MS and her precious sister in love Virginia Minyard of Greenwood, MS.
Funeral services are 3 P.M. Thursday, June 20 at Greenwood Delta Funeral Home with interment to follow in Moore’s Memorial cemetery in Teoc. Rev. David Bartlett will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Wesley Goss, Trent Goss, Aedan McDaniel, Andy Moore, Zach Lowe, Hunter Goss, Branden Goss and Shane McDaniel.
