Martha (Gammill) Parker

Martha Parker, 72, passed away Friday, July 8, 2022 at Shelby Gardens Place in Cordova, TN.  Funeral services are 11 A.M. Wednesday, July 13 at Greenwood Delta Funeral Home.  Dr. Jim Phillips will officiate. Visitation is from 10-11 A.M. prior to the service.

Martha was born in Greenwood, MS. She lived in the Greenwood/Carrollton area for all of her 72 years. She graduated from Greenwood High School and attended college at Mississippi University for Women. She worked for StapleCotn for several years before beginning her career at Deposit Guaranty and eventually retiring from Regions bank in 2012.

 She was a faithful member of North Greenwood Baptist Church for many years. She loved her family, friends and anyone she met the same. God’s word tells us to love one another, and love our neighbor as ourselves. Martha did that as well as anyone. She loved her jewelry, eating out with her friends, watching the sparrows outside her window and she loved more than anything to love on her sons and grandsons. Martha was a sweet soul, who covered many of her family and friends in prayer. Her prayers, her voice and her presence will be greatly missed.

She is preceded in death by her father, Gene Gammill, mother, Martha Poss, brother, Jimmy Gammill, her husband of 47 years, Ronnie Parker.

She is survived by her sons, Ron Parker (Stacey) of Eads, TN, Matthew Parker (Jennifer) of Hernando, MS, and five grandsons Jackson, Jameson, Caden, Luke and Noah.
