Judy L. Corder, 74, passed away Monday evening, March 10, 2025, at her home in Carroll County. Funeral services are 11 A.M. Thursday, March 13 at Greenwood Delta Funeral Home with Rev. Joseph Sansing and Rev. Bobby Denton McKay officiating. Interment will follow in New Bethel Baptist Church cemetery. Visitation is from 9-11 prior to the service.
Judy was born and raised in Greenwood and had been a lifelong resident of the Greenwood/Carroll County area. She worked for 25 years for Bellsouth as an operator and later as clerical staff. She was a faithful member of New Bethel Baptist Church where she had taught Sunday School, sang in the church choir and was a member of the Morning Glories Bible study group.
Judy was musically inclined and enjoyed playing the dulcimer. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, the telephone pioneers and enjoyed cooking. But more than anything, she loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Buford and Emarine Lemley, two daughters, Lemley Maronda Corder, Memrie Lawonda Corder and two brothers, Marvin Lemley and Jerrall Lemley. She is survived by her husband Richard Corder; two sons, Richie Corder (Tracy Beckwith Arnold) of Carrollton, Dickie Corder (Jenni) of Madison; a sister Elaine Lemley of Greenwood; six grandchildren, Zach Corder of Nashville, Drew Corder, Matt Corder, Lexie Corder, Cruz Corder and Jade Corder all of Madison; 6 step-grandchildren, Rylee Wilson of Durango, CO, Carrigan West of Houston, TX, Savannah Saunders, of Phoenix, AZ, Landree Spykstra of Fredericksburg, TX, Abree Richmond of Brandon, MS and Lillie James Arnold of Greenwood, MS
Pallbearers will be Richie Corder, Dickie Corder, Zach Corder, Drew Corder, Matt Corder, Cruz Corder, Lewis Jones and Richard Corder. Honorary pallbearers are Scott Lemley, Dell Lemley, Joey Smith, and Darrell Corder
