Joshua "Josh" Randle May, 22, passed away unexpectedly Monday May 20, 2024, in Greenwood. Funeral services are 3 P.M. Tuesday, May 28, at North Greenwood Baptist Church with Dr. Jim Phillips officiating. Interment will follow in Odd Fellows East Cemetery. Visitation is Monday from 5-7 at Greenwood Delta Funeral Home.
Josh was born in Greenwood and raised in Carrollton. He graduated from J.Z. George High School where he played baseball and football. He recently graduated from Mississippi State University with a degree in Industrial Engineering. Josh recently took on a love for fishing. He enjoyed spending time with his family, friends, and girlfriend. Josh was a caring, kindhearted, fun spirited, loving, and most polite young man.
Josh is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Clyde Randle Jordan, and Curtis Dale May. He is survived by his parents, Philip Tyler, and Sarah Jordan May of Carrollton; two sisters, Anna Renee May of Carrollton, Abigail Lynn May of Carrollton; his girlfriend, Courtney Myers of Greenwood; maternal grandmother, Sharon Gail Jordan of Coila and his paternal grandmother, Sheila Renee May of Greenwood; his aunts' and uncles', Haley and Jeremy Story, Paul, and Brandi May; and his cousins' Chloe and Lucas Story.
Pallbearers are Bailey Coggins, Collin Sharp, Austin Lott, Brent Wilson, Dalton Winstead, and Kurt Franklin.
