It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of John Edward Hoyt, who left us on December 7, 2024, at the age of 90. Born on January 7, 1934, in Manchester, New Hampshire, John lived a life filled with love, dedication, and service to his family and community. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Vida Lee Hoyt; his father, John E. Hoyt; his brother, Richard Hoyt; and his two sons, David Keith Hoyt and Mike Hoyt.
John is survived by his loving wife, Virginia “Jinny” Sue Thach Hoyt; his daughter, Kathleen Hoyt; his sister, Kathleen Avis Hoyt; his brother-in-law, Bruce McCullough; his grandchildren , Jordan and Brittany Bell; Davis Kathleen Hoyt, Dylan and Jillian Hoyt; and his great-granddaughter, Juliette Sutton Hoyt. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
A memorial service will be held on December 11, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Greenwood Delta Funeral Home. Visitation is from 10:00 to 11:00. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Locus Benedictus, or Alzheimer Support Group in John’s memory.
John Edward Hoyt’s will be deeply missed but forever cherished.
