Joe Tominello, Jr.

Joe Tominello, 71, passed away Monday, July 20, 2026, at his home in Carroll County.   A memorial gathering will be Saturday, August 8, 2026, at Hill view Baptist Church beginning at 11 A.M.

Joe was born to Joe and Eva Tominello in Greenwood, grew up there, graduated from Pillow Academy and attended the University of Mississippi.  He worked for many years at the Dock at Ross Barnett Reservoir.  He moved to Carroll County a year ago and shared time with a special friend, Tammie Ellis Coleman.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating with friends and had a boat washing business that kept him busy. He attended Hillview Baptist Church. 

Preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Donald Tominello, and two sisters, Joanne Tominello Pate and Carolyn Tominello.  He is survived by his wife, Tammie Ellis Coleman of Carrollton; nieces, Eva Hoover, Lexanne Pate; nephews, Colby Pate, Dustin Tominello, Dereck Tominello, Drayden Hoover and a host of extended family.

The family wishes to offer a special word of thanks to his many friends especially David Howard and Bill Saunders.

Memorials may be made to Pillow academy or the charity of donor’s choice.
