Marilyn Joan “Jo” Scholl Antoon

Marilyn Joan “Jo” Antoon, 83, passed away Saturday, July 23, 2022 at the Greenwood Leflore Hospital.  Funeral services are 10 A.M. Wednesday, July 27 at Greenwood Delta Funeral Home with Dr. Jim Phillips officiating.  Interment will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery.  Visitation is from 9-10 A.M. prior to the service.

Jo was born in Warsaw, IN to Clifford and Cleo Scholl, the eighth of nine children.  She later moved to Fort Wayne, IN where she graduated high school.  After graduation she moved with her mother to St. Petersburg, FL where she met and married Ellis Antoon.  In 1961 she and Ellis moved to his hometown of Greenwood where they would make their home and raise their family.  Jo enjoyed playing games of all sorts, especially playing cards.

She was predeceased by all of her brothers and sisters.

Jo is survived by her husband of 62 years, Ellis, a daughter, Theresa Lang (Kevin) of Panama City Beach, FL; two sons, Tony Antoon (Marsha) of Jackson, MS, Louis Antoon (Carole) of Destin, FL; four grandchildren, Brian Barth of Panama City Beach, FL, Farris Antoon (Laura) of Madison, MS, Rev. Martin Antoon (Elizabeth) of Savannah, GA, Payton Haws of Enterprise, AL and two great grandchildren, Jack Lanier of Madison, MS and Wade Antoon of Savannah, GA.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
