Jimmy D. Cobb, 76, passed away Friday, March 25, 2022 at the Greenwood Leflore Hospital. A memorial mass will be 2 P.M. Monday, March 28 at Immaculate Heart Of Mary Catholic Church with Fr. Jose De Jesus Sanchez officiating. Visitation is from 1-2 P.M. prior to the service.
Jimmy was born in Jackson, raised in Inverness, graduated from Inverness High School and attended MS State University. He was a salesman for Lewis Grocery and later for Dixie Amusement Company. He served in the US Army National Guard, attended Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church and enjoyed deer hunting.
Mr. Cobb was preceded in death by two brothers, Dr. Frederick Ross Cobb, John Cobb and a sister Melinda Hill.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Pamela Fratesi Cobb, a daughter, Kristin Fermo of Hollandale, MS; three sons, Michael Cobb of Walnut, MS, Lukas Cobb (Rebekah) of Spanish Fort, AL, Chase Cobb of Greenwood; eight grandchildren, Dominic Fermo of Daphne, AL, Nicholas Fermo of Daphne, AL, Anthony Fermo of Daphne, AL, Braden Cobb of Walnut, MS, Barrett Cobb of Walnut, MS, Brooklyn Cobb of Walnut, MS, Grayson Cobb of Spanish Fort, AL and Deanna Cobb of Spanish Fort, AL.
Memorial may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Immaculate Heart Of Mary Catholic Church 511 W Washington St. Greenwood, MS 38930 or any charity of donor’s choice.
