Gary Tingle, age 70, passed away on Wednesday, November 26, 2025.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 2, at Greenwood Delta Funeral Home with Rev. Ben Butler officiating. Interment will follow at Odd Fellows East Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1:00–2:00 p.m., prior to the service.
Gary was born in Greenwood to Jimmy Lee and Dupil Hood Tingle and remained a devoted lifelong resident of his hometown. He proudly served in the 173rd Quartermaster Corps, where he was activated during Operation Desert Storm. After his military service, Gary worked many years with Stribling Equipment, retiring as parts manager in 2021.
A member of Calvary Baptist Church, Gary found joy in helping others. He spent countless hours doing carpentry work for friends, always willing to lend a hand and share his talents. His kindness, strength, and generous spirit touched everyone who knew him.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years Susan Ashe Tingle; two daughters, Kimberly Brister (Mike) of Arlington, TN, Kelli Elizabeth Robertson of Greenwood; two grandchildren, Kassie Williamson (Cassidy) of Grenada, Bailey Sellars (Morgan) of Mebane, NC; two great grandchildren, Leah and Avery Williamson of Grenada and a sister, Janice Aust (Sid) of Greenwood.
Pallbearers will be Allen Flowers, Bailey Sellars, Dustin Narmour, and Desmond Narmour.
The family requests that memorials be made to the Leflore County Humane Shelter, the American Cancer Society, or a charity of the donor’s choice.
