Frank L. Coleman, Sr., 79, passed away Thursday Morning, June 18, 2020 at his home near Minter City, surrounded by his family. A graveside service will be 3 P.M. Sunday, June, 21 at Itta Bena Cemetery. Rev. Van Lott will officiate.
Frank was born in Itta Bena, MS to Frank and Juanita Coleman. He was raised in Itta Bena and graduated from Leflore County High School, he served in the US Navy, farmed for many years and also worked for S & N. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, John C. Coleman.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Carolyn Crawford Coleman; a daughter, Leah Rose Coleman (Joe Pattison) of Brenham, TX; a son, Frank “Sam” Coleman, Jr., (Stephanie Pernell) of Minter City, MS; grandchildren, Robert Killebrew (Haven) of Riverdale, NJ, Ashley Warren (Tripp) of Caldwell, TX, Joshua Coleman (Jennifer) of Minter City, and Christopher Coleman (Brittany) of Greenwood: great-grandchild, Dylan Rose Killebrew of Riverdale, NJ; brother, Allen Coleman (Ellen Mae) of Itta Bena, MS; sister-in-law Linda Coleman of Teoc, MS; and special longtime friends Don and Annette Corley
Joshua Coleman will serve as pallbearer.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s research hospital or the charity of donor’s choice.
