Dwight Forrest Randal, Sr., 81, passed away Saturday, May 23, 2026, at his home in Carroll County. A memorial service will be held Monday, June 15th at the North MS Veterans Cemetery in Kilmichael. Military honors will be provided by the American Legion Post 29 of Greenwood. Visitation is Sunday, June 14, from 4-8 P.M. at Greenwood Delta Funeral Home.
Dwight was born and raised in Greenwood, graduated from Greenwood High School and received his degree in Business Administration from Delta State University. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War with the 173rd Quartermaster Corps from Greenwood. He retired from Staplcotn as a loan administrator after many years of faithful service.
Dwight was a member of the American Legion, the V.F.W. and a former member of the Jaycees. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Dwight is preceded in death by his parents, Edsworth Forrest and Naomi Randall, a grandson, Jacob Randall, a brother, Charles Randall and a sister, Yvette Franklin. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Carolyn Tucker Randall; two sons, Dwight Forrest Randall, Jr. of Hernando, Brian Randall (Mandy) of Carrollton; a sister, Dean Anaston of Greenwood and seven grandchildren, Zachary Randall, Cindy Randall, Jessie Randall, Hannah Randall, Natalie Randall, Emylou Hays, and Preston Hays.
Honorary pallbearers will be past and present employees of Staplcotn, members of American Legion Post 29, members of the VFW in Carrollton, members of the Class of 1963, members of the 173rd and members of the National Guard.
Memorials may be made to the Humane Society, VFW, American Legion, Tunnel for Towers or the charity of donor’s choice. Please NO FLOWERS.
