Diana Box Randle

Diana Box Randle, 75, passed away Friday, February 23, 2024, at Comperes Nursing Home in Jackson.  Visitation is from noon until 1:30 at Greenwood Delta Funeral Home on Monday, February 26, with graveside services to follow at Itta Bena cemetery with Rev. Ricky Wheat officiating.

Diana was born in Greenwood to Haven and Lois Collette Box and graduated from Leflore County High School. She worked for many years at Greenwood Leflore Hospital and Sta Home Healthcare until her retirement.  Later in life she moved from Morgan City, MS, to Brandon to be near her daughters and grandchildren.  She will always be remembered as the most amazing mother, Nonnie, aunt, sister, and friend, and for the kindness, love, and generosity she gave to everyone she met,

She was preceded in death by her parents, her son William Smith Randle, Jr., her brothers, Jimmy Box and Johnny Box and a great nephew, Lee Brunson.

Diana is survived by two daughters, Candy Randle Black (Adam) of Madison, Carol Randle of Brandon; two grandchildren, Anna Morgan Black and Davis Black both of Madison; two sisters, Shirley McCaleb of Greenwood, Cindy Booker (Brian) of McKinney, TX;  two nephews, Bobby McCaleb (Dixie) of Vaughan, John McCaleb (Misty) of Brandon and a niece, Melanie Brunson of Greenwood.

Pallbearers will be John McCaleb, Bobby McCaleb, Will Brunson, Adam Black, Davis Black, and Smitty Randle.

Everyone who knew her knew how much she loved animals, especially her dogs and cats. Therefore, the family asks that memorials be made to the Greenwood Animal Shelter or any charity dedicated to the love and care of animals.
