Gluckstadt, MS: Mr. Curtis E. Hodges, 80, formerly of Greenwood, passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, MS. A memorial service will be held 11 A.M., Saturday, June 13 at Greenwood Delta Funeral Home with Rev. Kevin Cooper officiating. Facebook live will be available for those unable to attend.
Curtis Grew up in Chester, MS, graduated from Ackerman High School and received his pharmacy degree from the University of Mississippi. In 1967 he moved to Greenwood and purchased Roberts Drug Store. He later partnered with Charles Jones and the Hugh Taylor to develop a relationship with the Greenwood area residents to provide their pharmacy needs for the next forty years. They owned and operated Barrett-Hodges Drugs, East Gate Pharmacy, Downtown Drugs and the Medical Center pharmacies all in Greenwood. He retired in 2007 and later moved in 2011 to Gluckstadt. Mr. Hodges was a member of Calvary Baptist Church while in Greenwood and Grace Crossing Baptist Church in Gluckstadt. He was preceded in death by a son; Jeff Hodges and his parents Floyd and Ruby Hodges.
He is survived by his wife ofSarah B. Hodges of Gluckstadt, a son; Ken Hodges and his wife Stephanie of Jackson and a granddaughter; Kathleen Lott of Gluckstadt
