Obituary

W. G. “Buster” McGehee, 84, passed away Thursday, December 15, 2022, at Indywood Glen in Greenwood. Graveside services are 11 A.M. Monday, December 19 at North Union Cemetery in Attala County with Rev. Tommy Stephenson officiating. Visitation is from 9-10 A.M. at the funeral home prior to services. Buster was born to Ray and Clyde Goss McGehee in Attala County. He was raised there and graduated from Vaiden High School. He worked for Greenwood Utilities for 17 years and retired from Lewis Supply Company. He loved to quail hunt, fish and ride his tractor and mower. Buster is survived by his wife Dimple Funderburk McGehee of Coila, a daughter, Susan Adams (John) of Morgan City; a son, Gary McGehee (Shonna) of Coila; two grandsons, Dillon Adams of Morgan City and Dustin McGehee (Alexis) and their son Weston Ray McGehee of Coila. Pallbearers will be Dustin McGehee, Dillon Adams, Hunter Flanagan, Steve Flanagan, Dale Blakely, and James Downs. Honorary pallbearers are James Funderburk, Marion Boggs, LeRoy Kuriger and Jerry Shaw. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the charity of donor’s choice.
