Barbara Roberts Shadwick, 68, of Carrollton, passed away Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at the University of MS Medical Center in Jackson. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, February 14th at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church with the Rev. Lanny Haley officiating. Visitation is from 10-11 A.M. prior to the service at the church.
Barbara was born to Luther Madison Daves and Lois Skelton Daves in Greenwood, MS. Barbara graduated from Greenwood High School. She later received her LPN degree from MS Delta Community College and her RN degree from Holmes Community College. She had worked for numerous facilities in several states before retiring from the MS State Hospital in Whitfield.
Barbara was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church. She loved to go to thrift shops, scrapbooking and watching humming birds. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Kenny Daves.
She is survived by her husband, Paul Shadwick; a daughter Stephanie Clanton (Robert) of Carrollton; two sons, Joseph Shadwick (Alicia) of New Zealand, Dan Shadwick (Victoria) of Johnstown, CO; a brother, Donnie Daves (Liz) of Carrollton; grandchildren, Peyton Clanton, Hope Clanton, Emma Clanton, Caraline Clanton, Shawn Clanton, Maci Clanton, Charli Shadwick and a great grandson, Hudson Goss.
Memorials may be made to the Greenwood Leflore Humane Shelter, American Cancer Society or the Charity of donor’s choice.
