Valentina Stilwell Cardillo, 57, passed away Thursday evening, February 14, 2019, at her home surrounded by her family.
Valentina was born in Dearborn, Michigan to Mario and Patricia Navrre Cardillo. She had lived in Biloxi where she resided for a number of years prior to moving to Greenwood two years ago. While in Biloxi she had worked as a tax preparer for Jackson Hewett and later worked in the human resource department for the Imperial Palace. She was a talented artist who enjoyed painting. Valentina was a member of the Catholic Church.
The widow of Gary Stilwell she was also preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Mariea Gigi Denise Cardillo. Survivors include a son, David William Garrett, Jr. of Winston Salem, NC, two daughters, Angela M. LaBean (Phillip) of Biloxi, MS, and Christina Garrett (Michael) of Alexander, NC, two brothers, Mario Frederick Cardillo, Jr. (Mary) of Waterford, MI and Michael Cardillo (Jan) of Greenwood, MS, a nephew, Christopher Joseph Knoll (Kim) of Holcomb, MS, a niece, Rebecca Robertson of Greenwood, 9 grandchildren, and two great nieces.
A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
