Madison, MS: Thomas Jacob “Tommy” Ainsworth, 55, passed away at his home in Madison Tuesday, June 18, 2019. Funeral services are 2 P.M. Saturday, June 22 at Greenwood Delta Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Odd Fellows East Cemetery. Rev. Carroll Blackledge, Rev. Jason Smith and Rev. Charlie Jones will officiate.
Tommy was born in Greenwood to Billy R. and Sharian Organ Ainsworth. He graduated from Greenwood High School and attended MS Delta Community College, Delta State University and Hinds Community College. He worked with his brother, Cale, at Ainsworth Sign Co for over 18 years. He moved to Madison four years ago and was a member of Pinelake Church in Madison.
Tommy was an avid sportsman and had numerous interests including, Art, Flying, Racing cars on a dirt track, baseball, Music, and numerous other hobbies. He most of all loved his Lord and his family. He was preceded in death by his father, Billy.
Survivors include his wife; Jan Lynch Ainsworth, two sons; Jacob Thomas Ainsworth of Lexington and Walter Daniel Ainsworth (Danyelle) of Rolling Fork, his mother; Sharian Ainsworth of Greenwood, Jan’s sons; Matthew and Blake of Madison, a brother; Cale Ainsworth (Sydney Anne) of Greenwood, a cousin; Shannon Covington of Greenwood and 2 grandchildren; Austin McDaniel and Parker McDaniel of Rolling Fork.
Pallbearers will be; Don Sims, Todd Stephen, Shannon Covington, Blake Zimmerman and Matthew Zimmerman.
