Gloria Patrick Long

Gloria Ray Patrick Long, 70 passed away at her home Friday, December 7, 2018 surrounded by her family and friends.  Funeral services are 2 P.M. Monday, December 10 at Malmaison Baptist Church with Rev. Eddie Carpenter and Rev. Dwight Johnson officiating.  Interment will be in the church cemetery.  Visitation is from noon till service time at the Church.

Gloria was born in Grenada to Mack Ray and Sarah Elizabeth Timmons Patrick.  She had been a longtime resident of the Greenwood area.  She was an active member of Malmaison Baptist Church.  Gloria loved cooking and taking care of her family.  She loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  She was loving mother, sister and Ninnie.

Mrs. Long was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney Dale Long, her parents and a grandchild, Monica Long.

Survivors include her daughter; April Livingston (Scott) of Savannah, Ga, two sons; Sidney Long “Sandy” of Holcomb and Tracy Long (Dana) of Greenwood, two sisters; Maxine Dallas (Wendall) of Coffeeville, MS and Barbara Redcliff of Oxbury, a special sister, Maxine Haley (Roy), , seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and three great grandchildren on the way.

Pallbearers will be Sandy Long, Tracy Long, Bobby Beckwith, Earnest Beckwith, Dean Haley, Michael Mims, Tony Henderson and Andy Gentry. Honorary pallbearers are her fellow members of Malmaison Baptist Church her grandchildren and nephews.
