Catherine Roberts Bennett

Catherine Roberts Bennett, 93, passed away Sunday, December 29, 2019 at Greenwood Leflore Hospital.  Graveside services will be 11 A.M. Friday, January 3, 2020 at Woodlawn Cemetery in Grenada with Rev. Joseph Sansing officiating.

Catherine was born in Carroll County, MS to George and Ellie Roberts.  She had been a longtime resident of Grenada prior to moving to Golden Age Nursing Home 12 years ago.  She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Grenada.  Catherine loved spending time with her family. 

The widow of Fate Bennett, she was also preceded in death by her parents, her sisters; Marie Roberts Martin, Wilma Roberts Clark, her brother; James “Bud” Roberts and a nephew; James Dale Roberts.

Catherine is survived by her sister-in-law; Dot Roberts of Greenwood,  three nieces; Debbie Kilpatrick of Grenada, Frankie Miller of Bangor, ME, LaDonna Moss of Greenwood, and a nephew; John “johnny” Martin of Vicksburg, MS.

Pallbearers will be Andy Kilpatrick, Ronnie Moss, John “Johnny” Martin, and John “Trey” Martin.  Glenn Miller will be an honorary pallbearer.

The family wishes to express gratitude to the loving and faithful staff of Golden Age Nursing Home for the care they have provided the past 12 years.
